Karen Jordan depended on her teenaged son to help take care of her after she suffered a stroke last year.

However, she now has to face life without her only child after he was shot dead Saturday night.

Police reported that Shakem Shaquan Robert Joseph, 19, was found dead at Mayers Land, Richmond, St Michael, around 7 p.m.

The former student of Grantley Adams Memorial School lived with Jordan, 41, in nearby President Kennedy Drive, St Michael. She admitted he was no saint, but added he kept himself out of trouble with the law. (CA)
