Accused: People want to kill me

There were people out to kill him, said Clive Connor Lynch, as he did not put up any objection to being remanded to HMP Dodds yesterday.

His comments came after he had listened to prosecutor Constable Ralph Rollock strenuously object to his bail in the District “A” Traffic Court.

The 66-year-old, of Cane Garden, St Andrew, was accused of, but was not required to plead to, unlawfully and maliciously wounding Jean Agatha Forde with intent on April 9.

Rollock, in his objections, had not only noted the seriousness of the charge but said the accused had previous convictions for similar matters, which showed a propensity “for such violent behaviour”. (HLE)
