The Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) will remain closed until at least noon on Friday, April 16, 2021.

A statement from deputy chief executive officer Terry Layne, says this is as a result of the ongoing ashfall resulting from the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Passengers who were affected by this closure are asked to contact their respective airlines for alternative flight arrangements.

During this period, access to the airport will be limited to authorised, essential airport personnel.
