Six new virus cases, ten people recover

Six new people, all men, tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Monday, April 12, from the 220 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Meanwhile, ten people recovered and were discharged. There are now 91 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 3 740 confirmed COVID-19 cases (1 817 females and 1 923 males) since the beginning of the pandemic in March, last year. The total number of recoveries has moved to 3 623. There have been 44 COVID-19 deaths.

Since February 2020, the public health laboratory has conducted 146 575 tests.

To date, 65 873 vaccinations – 27 137 men and 38 736 women – have been administered as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. (BGIS)
