Another explosive eruption of La Soufriere Volcano

The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre, which is based in Trinidad, has reported that the La Soufriere Volcano in St Vincent erupted explosively again today.

A brief bulletin posted on the Centre’s Facebook Page noted that the eruption occurred at 6:15 a.m.

La Soufriere has been erupting explosively since last Friday. Lead scientist monitoring the volcano Professor Richard Robertson has said that explosive eruptions of La Soufriere can be expected for up to a year.
