The Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology (SJPI) said on Friday that while its main campus located at Wildey, St Michael, remains closed, its officers are working remotely to meet the needs of clients.

The SJPI has also reminded students that evening classes in the Distance and Continuing Education/Open and Flexible Learning Centre (DCE/OLFC) are scheduled to commence on Monday, April 19. A statement issued by Barbados Government Information Service said that this was dependent on whether the island experienced further adverse conditions resulting from the eruptions of the La Soufrière volcano in St Vincent. However, classes for the full-time division will be suspended during the week April 19 to 23. (PR)
