Voice of Barbados (VOB) 92.9 FM is committed to raising the bar of broadcasting in Barbados, as the station marks its 40th anniversary.

Yesterday, during a special service to mark the occasion at James Street Methodist Church in Bridgetown, newly appointed Station Manager of Starcom Network, Anthony Greene, said that at 40 the time was right to breathe new life into the station’s programming.

“As we seek to renew, we also renew commitments to a few things – standards, communication and performance,” he said.

“Standards speak to those specific dos and don’ts that set us apart with a certain level of excellence. Some of them we still hold dear to. However . . . we have some work to do to recapture that remarkable distinction that made VOB the strong brand that it is. There is a need also to set new parameters; the digital side of things is an example of this.”
