As part of the ongoing road works associated with the Highway 1 Rehabilitation Project, the area from Usain Bolt Complex to the former Cin Cin Restaurant, will be paved on Thursday, May 6, from 6:30 p.m. to midnight, weather permitting.

The road will be closed and only one-way traffic will be permitted in a northerly direction.

The Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources said paving will also be carried out on Friday, May 7 on another section of road in Prospect, St James

A media statement from the ministry said only emergency vehicles and appointed public service vehicles will be allowed to travel in that section.

Residents living on the main road and the adjoining roads/gaps will also be allowed entry.

The Transport Board will provide a shuttle service from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

Members of the public have been asked to use alternative routes and to follow the instructions of the traffic wardens deployed in the specific areas. (PR)
