Case against couple adjourned

The husband and wife at the centre of an alleged stand-off with members of the Covid Unit appeared in the District “C” St Matthias Court today.

Fabian Antone John, 46, and Vanessa Maylin John, 48, both of Kingsland Heights, Christ Church, pleaded not guilty to refusing to carry out a lawful order imposed by the Chief Medical Officer on April 26, this year.

They were represented by Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley and attorneys Simon Clarke and Sade Harris.

The matter was adjourned until May 31. (HLE)
