Residents of Round the Town in St Peter are urged to store an adequate supply of water ahead of a planned shutdown of supply this coming weekend.

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) said it will conduct work in Round the Town, starting from 10 on Friday morning and ending at six on Sunday evening.

The BWA said residents and businesses located along Highway 1 between Carlton in the parish of St James and Maynards in St Peter, as well as customers in Gibbs, Road  View, Mullins, Round the Town, Battaleys, Speightstown, St Peter and surrounding areas may experience low pressure or outages while the work is being conducted.

Water tankers will also be dispatched to the area during the period of the shutdown to help residents maintain supply. (AR)
