Six more test positive for COVID

Six new positive cases of COVID-19, two females and four males, were reported by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Friday, May 21.

They were identified from among the 595 tests conducted. As a result, there are now 58 people in isolation.

Barbados recorded 3 991confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1 931 females and 2 060 males) since the start of the pandemic, and there were 47 deaths.

The public health laboratory carried out 165 731 tests.

Under the National Vaccination Progamme 52 880 people were fully vaccinated against COVID-19. They are among 76 336 individuals who were immunised during the first and second phases of the programme. (BGIS)
