Thierry Gale has joined up with the Barbados senior national football squad ahead of next month’s second round of the Concacaf FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in the Dominican Republic.

Head coach Russell Latapy is yet to name the 24-member travelling squad which will leave the island on May 30, but the overseas-based striker is almost certain of a call-up, having flown home from Hungary last week.

The pacy 19-year-old forward was released by Budapest Honved FC for the international assignment after the end of the OTP Bank Liga season.

Gale, who made his first team debut last August after signing a professional contract in 2020, has been often used as a second half substitute and netted twice this year. (AGB)
