Zane Maloney creates history with win in Monaco

Barbadian Formula 3 driver Zane Maloney’s win in Monaco today was historic. He took Pole on Friday, P2 Saturday and ended Monaco off with a win.

Maloney was participating in the Formula Regional European Championship race in Monaco. The 17-year-old stood proudly on the podium this afternoon as the national anthem of Barbados echoed through the streets of Monaco.

Proud Barbadians congratulated Maloney in comments on social media.

Minister of Sport Dwight Sutherland also made mention of Maloney’s win during his address while speaking at the Barbados Labour Party’s political rally today which was being streamed live. (KG)
