A clasic childhood story The Gingerbread Man formed part of a hat parade yesterday for scores of children at Grazette’s Day Nursery.

It formed part of the Child Month activities and the event brought together the children, parents and staff of the St Michael nursery.

Supervisor Sonia Boyce said the children’s headwear depicted every aspect of The Gingerbread Man whose adventure starts with him being created by a farmer’s wife and then chased by the couple and an assortment of animals.

In the end, the fox outsmarted The Gingerbread Man who taunted his pursuers with “run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man”.
