UPDATE: Two men injured in shooting

Two men, aged 21 and 29 received gunshot injuries while at the Grotto, near Dalkeith, St Michael around 7:55 p.m. today.

A media statement from police a short while ago said they were both shot while liming at a bus stop “amongst a group of four men”.

The group was “fired upon by two unknown men who were passing by”.

“One man was shot in his left leg (the 21-year-old), the other man received injury to his right leg,” the statement said.

Both men were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

The injuries were described as not life threatening.

Police said the assailants ran away from the scene.

Investigations are ongoing. (PR)
