The Royal Barbados Police Force is seeking the assistance of the public in investigating the stabbing of a man on Monday.

Lawmen responded to a report of a stabbing incident at the Princess Alice Terminal, Princess Alice Highway, Bridgetown, St Michael around 10 p.m. on Monday.

“On arrival, police discovered a 49-year-old male lying in a pool of blood. That male had sustained lacerations to his right calf, left leg, left hip and right instep. Ambulance personnel also responded and the victim was treated at the scene and later transported by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further medical attention,” a statement said.

Police said there was an argument between the victim and two other people – a 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman. The argument reportedly escalated into an altercation which resulted in the victim being injured.

The man and woman ran from the area but were subsequently arrested and taken into custody. They are currently assisting with investigations.

Anyone who may have information that can assist with this investigation is asked to contact the Central Police Station at 430-7676, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stopper at 1 800-TIPS (8477) or any police station. (PR)
