Three new virus cases

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified three new positive cases (one male and two females) of coronavirus (COVID-19) from among the 496 tests conducted on Wednesday, June 2.

There are currently 33 people in isolation.

Barbados now has 4 026 confirmed cases of COVID-19 – 1 948 women and 2 078 men, and 47 people have died from the viral illness.

The public health laboratory has recorded 171 750 tests since February 2020.

A total of 80 392 people have been vaccinated under the National Vaccination Programme. Of that number, 60 890 people have received both doses of the vaccine. (BGIS)
