One new virus case

A female was the only coronavirus (COVID-19) positive case identified on Saturday, June 5, from the 414 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The number of people in isolation is 26.

A total of 4 031 confirmed cases of COVID-19, comprising 1 951 women and 2 080 men, have been recorded since March 2020. The death toll from the virus is 47.

To date, the public health laboratory has carried out 173 381 tests.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 82 458 first doses have been administered. There are also 61 191 people (25 133 men and 36 058 women) who have received second doses and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
