No new virus cases

Barbados’ coronavirus (COVID-19) positivity rate continues to trend downward, as no new cases were recorded out of the 595 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory, on Thursday, June 10.

There are 18 people in insolation.

Since March 2020, the island has recorded 4 033 confirmed cases of the virus (1 952 women and 2 081 men), and 47 deaths.

So far, the public health laboratory has carried out 175 641 tests.

Meanwhile, 86 390 people have received their first dose under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. To date, 62 005 people have been inoculated with the second dose and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
