Harris hails Tridents

Barbados Football Association (BFA) president Randy Harris has given the national side a passing grade at the conclusion of their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign in Dominican Republic on Tuesday.

The Tridents signed off with a 1-1 draw with Caribbean neighbours Dominica, to add to their 1-1 result with hosts Dominican Republic last Friday.

Barbados scored first in all their group games except their 1-0 loss to Panama on March 24 and might have won all their games had it not been for defensive slips at unfortunate times.

Speaking on the Penalty Spot radio show on Thursday night, Harris praised the performance of the team especially since they have not trained or competed regularly since March last year, unlike most of their opponents. (NM)
