At 100 years old, Lottie Edwards-Bishop is still cooking and gardening.

The centenarian, who celebrated her birthday yesterday in the comfort of her Park Road, Bush Hall, St Michael home, where she lives with her daughter and other relatives, also has a good memory.

While speaking with Governor General Dame Sandra Mason via Skype, she recalled going to school at Hothersal Primary, St John Mixed School and Grace Hill Primary. She also spoke about her teachers and country life, being raised in the rural community of Edgecliff, St John.

The birthday girl also spoke about her friendship with Ernest Deighton Mottley, grandfather of Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, adding that the only other official she wanted to visit her was the Prime Minister. (SB)
