Bynoe wins twice at Century Mile

Jockey Damario Bynoe hit the winner’s enclosure twice Sunday at Century Mile in Edmonton, Alberta for the first time this season.

Bynoe was victorious astride Tomahawk Explorer and Astartobe to lead the way for Barbadian jockeys who combined for four wins on the day in Canada.

Defending Century Mile champion Rico Walcott took the evening’s seventh race with Babs Delight, while veteran Patrick Husbands got the other win aboard Red Fiction at Woodbine Race Track.

Bynoe triumphed in Waiver Claiming sprints, beginning in race number three over five furlongs when he guided the the four-year-old chestnut gelding Tomahawk Explorer across the line. (LY)
