Three trees fell in the area of Bagatelle, St Thomas during last night’s heavy thunderstorm activity.

They brought down power lines, the roadway was blocked on one side and police are on the scene directing traffic. The trees fell on part of the Bagatelle Great House property.

Members of the District Emergency Organisation and the Department of Emergency Management’s Roving Response Team responded and were on the spot trimming the branches for removal. They were assisted by people from Bagatelle Great House.

The Barbados Met Office issued flash-flood, high wind and thunderstorm warnings for Barbados last night. (SAT)
