Former calypso monarch Mighty Liar, real name Victor Reid, has passed on at age 72.
Reports reaching the Nation News late Wednesday stated that Reid, who lived in Rock Dundo, St James, was suffering from Alzheimers disease. Reid was one of eight children.
Mighty Liar defeated defending king Mighty Destroyer in 1979 to take the Pic O De Crop crown at Waterford, St Michael, with the song She Want Pan. (NS)
