Acting manager at Naru Restaurant, Andre Pennegan, is concerned about gun crime after two people were robbed at gunpoint after leaving the Hastings, Christ Church eatery.

“Gun violence is on the rise. Just crime is on the rise altogether [and] it is pretty sad that it is happening so close to us, especially for a business,” he said.

Pennegan said the guests had finished dining about 9 p.m. on Tuesday night and within 15 minutes were back in the restaurant saying they had been robbed by three men, two of whom had guns.

Managing director of the restaurant, Lisa Taylor, sent a voice note, which later made the rounds on social media, informing of the robbery. (RA)
