Reverend Kim Welch is calling for society to help young men become more self aware.

She made the call during her sermon for the Junior Chamber International 64th Anniversary Service at the All Souls Anglican Church, Lower Bank Hall, St Michael, this morning.

Welch noted if society wanted to protect and preserve future generations, they were duty bound to help young men develop a sense of self.

“We need to ensure that we do not perpetuate the cycle post-Emancipation and help our young men transform their lives,” she said.

Using Saul and David as examples, Welch said they were in no way perfect, but they made invaluable contributions just as every man could. (RA)
