Man dies in road accident

A 52-year-old St Lucy man is Barbados’ latest road fatality.

Police say George Williams of Bourbon Road, was the rear seat passenger when the driver of the vehicle in which he was travelling lost control along the KNR Husbands Highway near Speightstown, and struck a utility pole.

The accident occurred around 9:35 p.m. on Saturday. Williams suffered serious head injuries and died on Sunday around 1 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. (CA)
