Highway 1 road closure

As part of the Highway 1 Rehabilitation Project, the contractor, Infra, will be paving the section of Highway 1 from Treasure Beach to St James Place in St James.

The Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources said today that in order to facilitate the preparation and paving exercise, this section of the Highway will be closed from 6 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 27, at 6 p.m.

Only local access and emergency vehicles will be permitted.

Motorists are advised to follow the directions of the traffic management personnel and to exercise caution. (PR)
