Barbados recorded seven new COVID positive cases, and Minister of Health and Wellness Jeffrey Bostic is urging people not to drop their guard.

He said six of today’s cases, plus one yesterday, and three more going for assessment at the Harrison Point Facility in St Lucy, all come from one business place in St Michael.

The minister was speaking to the media during a donation at the Pan American Health Organisation’s headquarters in Dayrells Road, Christ Church, where the Federal Republic of Germany donated one million masks to the region, 500 000 of which to Barbados.

Bostic said his concern was not with the number of positive cases, but the fact that some people and institutions appeared to be dropping the ball and he appealed to people not to so  to prevent the COVID-19 numbers from creeping up once again. (RA)
