Nine new virus cases, 25 people in isolation

Two men and seven women are the island’s latest coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.

They were identified out of 756 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory, on Thursday, June 24.

There are now 25 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 4 066 cases of the viral illness (1 970 females and 2 096 males), and 47 deaths, since March 2020.

The public health laboratory has carried out 182 547 tests, to date.

As it relates to the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 93 940 first doses have been administered, while 68 417 people are now fully vaccinated, having received second doses. (BGIS)
