Eight new COVID cases, 29 in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified eight new COVID-19 cases – four males and four females – on Friday, June 25, from the 796 tests conducted.

There are currently 29 people in isolation.

Since March 2020, Barbados’ confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 4 074 (1 974 females and 2 100 males).  The death toll from the virus is 47.

The number of tests carried out by the public health laboratory is 183 343.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 94 514 first doses were administered, while 68 960 people are fully vaccinated after receiving second doses of the vaccine. (BGIS)
