Joseph wins bronze medal

Barbadian cyclist Amber Joseph captured a bronze medal in the women’s points race at the Pan American Track Cycling Championships earlier today in Lima, Peru.

Joseph, 21, continued her outstanding form to grab a podium finish with 17 points in the 80-lap event.

She finished the 20 000-kilometre race behind winner Mendoza Acevedo (26) of Mexico and Canada’s Maggie Coles-Lyster (25).

Last Friday, Joseph struck gold in the women’s scratch race. (AGB)
