The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) revealed five more candidates to run in the next General Elections.

They are Dawn-Marie Armstrong (St George South), Charles Worrell (St James North), Neil Marshall (St Philip South), Paul Gibson (St James Central) and Andrew Cave in Christ Church West.

DLP president Verla De Peiza made the announcement earlier today during the launch of the party’s new website at its George Street, St Michael headquarters.
She said the party was purposeful in declaring the candidates in batches, adding that 26 of the 30 had been ratified.

“We will continue to announce them in batches . . . . The candidates we are announcing in this manner are new. This gives you the opportunity to investigate each one of them and this gives them the opportunity to bask in the limelight for a little bit. We think that it is important that we showcase them and not what people expect,” she said.

Eighteen candidates have been named so far. (SB)
