He was “rolling a joint” at a liming spot, a witness recalled, when he heard a number of gunshots.

“Shots did beating. I hear some fly past me, so I run down inside the cane ground,” Toshawn Griffith told the No. 3 Supreme Court.

Griffith, who was testifying in the case against Andre Omar Jackman, Kaeron Sylvian Moore and Shane Hakeem Omar Babb, said he left home around 11 a.m. that day and went to a liming spot in the area. He said a number of men were making plans to go to the beach but police arrived, questioned them and they changed their minds.

The witness said he was backing the road when he heard a car. He looked back and saw Andre Jackman was driving.

“He was looking at me and he was crying. Tears were coming from his eyes,” he recalled. (HLE)
