A circular from the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training to principals of all public primary schools today reportedly said all Class 4 students are to attend face-to-face classes at their respective schools from Monday, July 12 to 23.

This is in preparation for the Barbados Secondary School Entrance Examination (BSSEE) which is scheduled for Wednesday, July 28.

The statement said that schools can engage students from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“A packed lunch will be provided by the School Meals Department by 10:30 a.m. If you are having classes on Monday, July 26 and Tuesday, July 27, 2021, please inform the School Meals Department.

“Students should be clearly identified as members of the school population by wearing school uniform or school shirt/game shirt with long pants or skirt.”

The statement also said passes/letters with the school stamp should be issued to students using the Transport Boards services for free transport.

Principals were advised to work out a schedule for school monitors and janitorial staff during this period. (PR)
