Fire victim dies

One of the people in Saturday’s fire at 1st Avenue, Chapman Lane, St Michael succumbed to injuries.

Police public relations officer acting inspector Rodney Inniss confirmed that 58-year-old Janice Mitchell passed away earlier Tuesday.

Mitchell, her daughter Keisha, 40; and Keisha’s one-year-old daughter were all injured in the fire. Mother and daughter are said to be in critical condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
