It’s not the end for convicted attorney Vonda Pile.

Shortly after she was sent back to jail yesterday by the Court of Appeal to finish serving a three-year sentence for stealing a client’s money, her attorney, Queen’s Counsel Andrew Pilgrim, revealed he would be taking the matter to the Caribbean Court of Justice.

Pilgrim had led a battery of attorneys, including Angella Mitchell-Gittens, Kamisha Benjamin and Rasheeda Edwards, in challenging the verdict of the jury and the sentence imposed by Justice Pamela Beckles in 2019.

Pile showed no emotion as she listened to Justice of Appeal Francis Belle say that he and fellow Justices of Appeal Rajendra Narine and Jefferson Cumberbatch had rejected all seven grounds of appeal.
