Selections for the Tokyo Olympics and NACAC may be long gone but the likes of Josiah Parris, Asia Foster, Kadia Rock, Brieanna Boyce, Nya Browne, Kevon Hinds and Shanice Hutson continued their dominance when the Athletic Association of Barbados held its End of Season Meet at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex on Saturday.

The class of Parris and Rock in slamming the field in their individual events was also displayed in the relays, with that duo along with Foster, Shadae Worrell, Ayanna Morgan, Kayla Kirnon combining for Quantum Leap to take four of the eight relay events.

Rising Stars captured three while Talons’ sole triumph was in the 4×100 for Under-18 girls.

The oft-repeated script in the field played out once again, with Carifta medallist Shanice Hutson of Elite Distance capturing the women’s shot put with a throw of 12.07 metres. Hutson’s clubmate, former Barbados footballer Ryah Dates, was second with 11.04 metres. (KB)
