UPDATE: St Philip man charged with murder, arson remanded

Brian Oneal Browne, who is facing four counts, including murder, appeared in the District A Magistrates’ Court today and has been remanded until August 16.

The charges are in relation to a fire at 1st Avenue Chapman Lane, St Michael, on July 10.

Browne, 33 of Eastbourne #1, St Philip, is charged with the murder of 58-year-old Janice Mitchell who passed away last week in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The other charges are two counts of serious bodily harm against Janice’s daughter Keisha, 37, and her daughter, one-year-old Halee Mitchell, all of the same address.

The fourth count is arson.

Keisha and her daughter remain hospitalised in critical condition. (Nation News)
