Canteen owners upset over fence too

CANTEEN OPERATORS at the Cheapside Terminal in Bridgetown are also feeling fenced out.

Like some fruit and vegetable vendors, they are wondering why the Transport Authority erected a fence at the terminal which they say has negatively impacted their business.

Several operators raised their concerns yesterday, following the cries of some vendors over the weekend who said the fence stopped them from plying their trade in their usual spots.

Although the canteen operators did not have to move, they said they had a difficult time finding parking spots, deliveries had been negatively affected, and they were losing customers because of the way the fence was put up.
