11 new virus cases, 181 in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases; five females, six males.  The number of tests carried out on Thursday, July 22, is 1 675.  There are 181 people in isolation.

Since March 2020, Barbados has recorded 4 330 cases of the viral illness (2 101 females and 2 229 males), and 48 deaths. The laboratory has performed 207 600 tests since February 2020.

Meanwhile, 98 772 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have beenadministered under the ongoing National Vaccination Programme. To date, 73, 953 people (27.3 per cent of the population) have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
