Six new virus cases, 161 people in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified six new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, two males and four females. The number of tests conducted on Saturday, July 24, is 1 530.

There are currently 161 people in isolation.

To date, 4 345 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded (2 112 females and 2 233 males). Forty-eight people have died from the virus.

Since February 2020, the lab has carried out 210 425 tests.

First doses of the COVID-19 vaccines administered under the National Vaccination Programme have reached 98 905. Additionally, 74 033 people – 30 505 males and 43 528 females – have received second doses and are fully vaccinated. This figure represents 27.3 per cent of the population. (BGIS)
