THE BARBADOS ASSOCIATION OF MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS (BAMP) is upping the ante.

President Dr Lynda Williams said that based on their study of current data associated with the viral illness, it was important to note that available vaccines seemed to effectively reduce transmission of all variants, but this reduction might not be large enough to protect a predominantly unvaccinated population in Barbados.

At the moment, less than 30 per cent of the country has been inoculated. (BA)
