One man tests positive for COVID

A man was the lone new positive COVID-19 case identified from the 771 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Wednesday, July 28.

There are currently 136 people in isolation.

To date, 4 365 confirmed cases of the virus, comprising 2 120 females and 2 245 males were recorded, and there were 48 deaths.

The public health laboratory carried out 215 030 tests since February last year.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 99 299 people received first doses of the vaccines and 74 877 second doses were administered. This total represents 27.6 per cent of the population. (BGIS)
