14 new virus cases, 133 people in isolation

Six men and eight women have been identified as coronavirus (COVID-19) positive by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The facility conducted 1 233 tests on Thursday, July 29. There are 133 people in isolation.

Since March 2020, Barbados has recorded 4 379 confirmed cases of the viral illness (2 128 females, 2 251 males) and 48 deaths. The laboratory has carried out 216 263 tests to date.

So far, 99 544 first doses have been administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, while 75 779 people (28 per cent of the population) are now fully vaccinated, having received their second dose. (BGIS)
