The streets of Speightstown, St Peter came alive this morning as Member of Parliament for the constituency Colin Jordan led a delegation to mark the inaugural Freedom Festival and Barbados’ connection with Ghana.

Accompanied by a tuk band, the delegation, which included St Peter Parish Ambassadors and other guests, stopped at Fisherman’s Pub, where wreaths were laid to commemorate Cuffee’s Planned Barbados Kingdom in 1675.

Following the walk, members gathered for a service of thanksgiving at Fisherman’s Pub, with a presence from Ghana, overlooking the sea and the Speightstown jetty. (RA)
