St Lucy man drowns

A Greenidges, St Lucy man, Peter Douglas Prescod, 55, is believed to have drowned today.

However, police said no foul play is suspected in his death.

Police received a call after 2:05 p.m. that a man was found in an unconscious state at an area known as Agent Bay, Cluffs, St Lucy.

He was later pronounced dead by a doctor at the scene.

Police said Prescod was reportedly fishing in the area when he fell off a cliff into the sea.

“He was discovered wedged between some jagged rocks and it is believed that he drowned. No foul play is suspected.”

Prescod was identified by a close family member. (PR)
