Fewer than 100 in isolation

Ten new cases of COVID-19, five males and five females were identified by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Wednesday, August 4, from 1 428 tests.

There are 93 people in insolation.

To date, 100 091 first doses were administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19; while 76 965 people (28.4 per cent of the population) received their second dose and are fully vaccinated.

Since March 2020, the island recorded 4 443 confirmed cases (2 158 female and 2 285 males) of the viral illness, and 48 deaths.

A total of 224 225 tests were carried out by the laboratory since February last year. (BGIS)
