The Bridgetown Fisheries Complex has reopened following a thorough sanitisation process.

Last week, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy said that two people had tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) and urged all those who worked at or visited the market to get tested.

The ministry said the two people who tested positive followed the protocols and stayed at home awaiting the results of their tests. Others who came forward for testing were negative, the ministry said.

The ministry said that following the COVID-19 protocols was essential to people remaining safe during the pandemic. All safety protocols, including sanitisation and temperature checking, remain in effect at all markets islandwide. (BGIS)
