The Ministry of Transport, Works & Water Resources (MTWW) said today that the utility pole which supplies power to the streetlights along the section of the roadway between the Garfield Sobers Roundabout and Tino Terrace has been repaired and the lights are functional.

The ministry said the pole was damaged during the passing of Hurricane Elsa on July 2.

The Government Electrical and Engineering Department of the ministry will also be repairing poles which were damaged between Graeme Hall and the roundabout at Kendall Hill shortly.

“MTWW will keep the public updated on any further developments as it works assiduously to have the situation rectified. Meanwhile motorists are asked to exercise due care and attention while traversing this stretch of the highway,” MTWW said. (PR)
